Role Responsibility:

  • Setting up of training/meeting rooms ensuring that they are ready and available at the start of each training session/meeting
  • Arranging furniture in the layout required and restoring the rooms to their original layout at the end of the session.
  • Setting up any audio, visual and training equipment
  • Ensuring that all rooms are clean and tidy and that any waste is removed.
  • To produce and laminate any signs required for sessions (on MS Word).
  • To provide an equipment inventory and to arrange for registering and testing of all items.
  • To file all room set-up forms in date order and to organise daily and weekly job sheets ensuring that all work is completed.
  • To provide support within other areas of the customer service function as required; appropriate training will be given to support this.
  • To comply with health and safety and emergency procedures.
  • Key Health and Safety accountabilities include:
  • Working safely and efficiently and with due regard for your own health and safety and the health and safety and the welfare of others including, Company staff, Authority staff, contractors and members of the public etc.
  • Not interfering or misusing anything provided by G4S or the Authority in the interests of health, safety and welfare in pursuance of any of the relevant statutory provisions.
  • Adhering to safe systems of work procedures and practices and using appropriate safety devices, equipment and clothing provided by G4S
  • Reporting to the appropriate person all unsafe conditions, damage, near misses - whether or not there are any personal injuries, in order that remedial action can be taken.
  • Familiarisation and compliance with all site rules, regulations, practices and procedures affecting health and safety.
  • Attending safety training in accordance with the G4S Company requirements.
  • To comply with Part B of the Health and Safety company procedure and emergency procedures as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Needs to be organised and methodical.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to adapt to fluctuating workloads.
  • Must have good communication and customer care skills.
  • Must have Manual Handling experience
  • Previous experience in a customer focussed environment.
  • Experience of MS Word and excel would be an advantage, or a willingness to be trained
