Job Introduction:

The world’s leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Training Manager.  In this position, you will ensure that the uniformed services provided at any area/branch facility meet or exceed requirements set forth in policy, contracts, and applicable laws

Role Responsibility:

  • Determine and prepare appropriate training programs specific to local customer needs and ensure proper inclusion in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records
  • Conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel reporting to the area/branch office (e.g., state licensing, contract specific, annual refresher courses)

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, one or more of the following certifications:
    • 01E (Virginia DCJS) – Security Officer Core Subject Entry-Level Instructor Certified
    • 05E (Virginia DCJS)  – Armed Security Officer Arrest Authority Instructor Certified
    • 07E (Virginia DCJS) – Firearms Training Instructor Certified

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work history must be verifiable and show reliability
  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of classroom instructor experience
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing instruction in firearms
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Law enforcement experience
    • Service in the Elite Military Forces, Military Police or combat arms
    • Graduate of Police/Corrections Academy
    • Criminal Justice Degree, Associate or higher
    • Career Military

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment). 
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment:  Mostly indoor with minimal outdoor exposure to extreme cold/heat.
