Job Introduction:

In 2012 G4S and Lincolnshire Police formed a Strategic Partnership and we are now currently looking for individuals who are interested in joining us as a Technology and Leadership Team Leader.

This is a full time position covering 40 hours per week based at Lincolnshire Police Headquarters, Nettleham. The benefits of working from this location include; free car parking and 24 hours use of a free gym.

The successful candidate will be required to support the Head of People Development as a member of the Management Team, and will help drive and deliver excellence in delivery of  service to Lincolnshire Police Force and G4S team members.

Role Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of the Technology and Leadership team, which includes ICT, Custody, Talent Development, Train the Trainer and Leadership and Management.
  • Co-ordinate and maintain the delivery schedule of demand against resource for area of responsibility.
  • Ensure courses are maintained and delivered to a consistently high standard that is compliant with legislation, national standards (APP) and relevant to the demands of the force.
  • Provide regular, timely and accurate management information reports regarding delivery status, demand and KPI’s.
  • Provide support and guidance to your team to assist continuous improvement and personal and professional development. Ensuring that all team members are appropriately accredited and maintain their competence to recognised standards.
  • Provide TNA and diagnostic reviews of demand (planned, ad hoc and future demand) from our clients, ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to provide the right training at the right time.
  • Support the Head of People Development in delivering a consultancy approach to our internal and external facing clients. This will include where needed local and national travel to support our delivery of service.
  • Develop professional, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders maintaining high levels of communication and contact with key account holders acting as central point of contact within L&D for your area.
  • Represent the department at various local, regional or national meetings, conferences and standardisation events.
  • Manage our associate network of trainers for your area of responsibility, ensuring that they are consistently delivering to a high standard and meet national skill and competency requirements.
  • Supporting the team in the design and identification of external revenue bids, including helping to provide costing’s, resource identification and efficiencies of our delivery to our external clients.
  • Being a pro-active member of the People Development Management team in leading and driving projects to support our service delivery and continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • Relevant professional training delivery and assessment qualification
  • Experience of working within a police, or custody environment
  • Leadership and Management Training Delivery
  • Resource management experience
  • Experience of multi-organisation / agency approach
  • Experience of delivery a blended solution to course provision
