Job Introduction:

We are seeking to recruit a TFM Support Manager in the North West, supporting a large government contract.

Role Responsibility:

The ideal TFM Support Manager will provide technical support to the Regional Manager and the Operations team as directed by the Regional Manager including providing technical advice to respond to any customer queries, responding to the customers technical audit reports, monitoring the performance of M&E subcontractors and monitoring technical reports issued by M&E subcontractors.

  • To liaise with the client to provide a one point contact for advice, regarding technical service issues, ensuring contractual obligations and client requirements are met and understood and the company reputation enhanced
  • To foster an environment of continuous improvement to maximise customer satisfaction
  • To develop and support a positive team ethos with the contract team and the subcontract  team on the TFM contract
  • To manage meetings as required
  • To advise the Regional Manager to keep the risk register  up to date of all known risks
  • To operate as the subject matter expert in relation to building fabric, and the delivery of M&E maintenance activities.
  • To keep abreast of all site critical systems, understand the operational requirements, maintenance requirements and capacity limitations of the systems.
  • To work with the maintenance subcontractor, resident and mobile engineers, to ensure delivery of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment, which may include the following: mechanical (including HVAC, computer room air conditioners, chillers, and plumbing) electrical (including UPS, DC battery systems, PDU, generators, transfer switches, and switchgear), fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building  management systems, and digital systems (including fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV). 
  • Where required, to support preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems and building physical structure
  • To support the Operations Team to manage the response to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns
  • To continually review service areas to ensure high standards and costs are achieved to drive though efficiencies and improved practices in line with the Business Improvement Model
  • To deputise for the Business Support Manager and Performance Support Manager in his/her absence
  • To undertake hands on duties as and when required to achieve team goals
  • To attend Subcontractor review meetings as directed by the Regional Manager
  • To respond to Customer queries and technical audit reports as directed by the Regional Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have;

  • TFM Management experience
  • Broad management experience within a customer focused multi-functional service delivery environment, including CAFM systems operation
  • Practical electrical experience within an industrial / commercial related industry. Electrical plant, equipment and facilities maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of H&S legislation.
  • Qualification to HND in one of the Engineering disciplines.
  • Substantial quantifiable and demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to handle issues of high sensitivity
