Job Introduction:

In 2012 G4S and Lincolnshire Police formed a Strategic Partnership and we are now currently looking for individuals who are interested in joining us as a Systems Administrator.

This is a full time position for 40 hours per week. The post is based at Lincolnshire Police Headquarters, Nettleham. The benefits of working from this location include; free car parking and 24 hours use of a free gym.

The East Midlands and City NicheRMS Systems Administrator will be responsible, under guidance, for implementing and test new business designs, amended designs, and fixing defects raised by the business. The successful candidate will have and will maintain a thorough technical understanding of NicheRMS and its associated interfaces. They will also need to create and maintain positive communications to ensure effective working relationships with individuals, teams and colleagues.

Niche RMS (Records Management System) is a single, unified, operational policing system that manages information in relation to the core policing entities. The successful post holder for the job advertised will be responsible for the support and development of this application for 6 police forces, on a shared platform.

Role Responsibility:

  • Provide an effective systems configuration and administration service for the Regional NicheRMS system including fixing defects.
  • Provide user advice, as appropriate to East Midlands and City IT admins, business teams, managers and users of NicheRMS.
  • Assist in the collation of system change requirements, working within the regional change control process.
  • Ensure all configuration changes are documented and stored in an appropriate manner.
  • Provide testing assistance to the business following system changes.

  • Experience with working with issue tracking software
