Job Introduction:

We are seeking to recruit a Soft Services Account Manager for one of our Healthcare contracts in the Stevenage area.

  • We run large TFM contracts
  • We serve FM in Hospitals and Secure establishments
  • We provide FM services to Health and School buildings

Role Responsibility:

The Soft Services Account Manager will manage the Facilities Management Services and client engagement across two hospitals and smaller community sites (c.350 employees) ensuring effective operational delivery and that contractual KPI’s, compliance (e.g. Health & Safety, statutory etc.) and other legislative requirements are met within the approved financial parameters.  

They will;

  • Understand and be responsible for the correct interpretation of all commercial and contractual elements of this Cleaning/Portering contract.
  • Recruit, induct, vet, coach, support and motivate employees in order to develop and improve their performance, to optimize service delivery and to meet customer, commercial and contractual requirements
  • Develop and sustain a collaborative approach to the delivery of the services, working in close partnership with client team to develop efficient and streamlined service delivery in support of core activities.
  • Attend meetings, as a point of contact for clients, with end users and current or potential customers to represent and develop /
    maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Coordinate the production, maintenance and dissemination of instructions, manuals, reports, documents and information to ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed.
  • Develop and manage the budget/forecast for own area of responsibility and be responsible for all financial aspects of the contract including, variation orders/quotes, invoicing and payment terms
  • Monitor and direct the activities of the contract team to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and economically in line with the commercial contract to ensure compliant service delivery which meets all individual customer requirements and mitigates operational risk.
  • Oversee processes for monitoring hours required and work undertaken to ensure that specifications are met and staff are properly rewarded in line with budget targets
  • Monitor subcontracted services ensuring they meet contractual and statutory requirements
  • Manage any emergency and threat situations as necessary
  • Sustainably reduce costs overall
  • Complete all EDRs in required time frames 
  • Manage all HR issues (with support form HR representative including employee relations and absence management
  • Directly line manage the Cleaning and Portering Manager 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • H&S qualifications – IOSH / NEBOSH.
  • FM managerial experience, especially within Cleaning and Portering
  • Good communication skills verbal & written
  • Knowledge of the 49 elements of NHS 2007 cleaning Standards and or PAS 5748 
  • Numerate & commercially aware
  • Contractual/Commercial experience
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and ability to interpret financial information
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of CAFM systems
  • Commercially astute with a proven track record in implementing cost efficient solutions
