Job Introduction:

We are actively recruiting for a field based HR Advisor to cover our Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and MoJ Midlands contracts. This is a fixed term role until 31/12/17.

Role Responsibility:

Reporting to the Team Leader the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing guidance and practical expertise to line managers on policy related issues to ensure the best performance of both their team as a whole and the individuals within it
  • Providing professional advice and support in disciplinaries, grievances and performance management issues
  • Liaising with the HR Helpline where needed
  • Providing professional advice and support to managers in long-term sick cases
  • Undertaking employee consultation as part of TUPE/reorganisation
  • Ensuring that HRBP and line managers are fully supported with issues around organisational change and development
  • Actively contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives aimed at improving people management and business performance
  • Ensuring compliance to G4S Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Managing the formal and informal relationship with trade unions and provide data where appropriate
  • Assisting managers in dealing with completing the G4S screening and vetting process including DBS issues
  • Providing recruitment support.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or equivalent and will have an understanding of all aspects of HR including employee relations, recruitment, TUPE and demobilisations. They will have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels. They will possess the ability to build and develop good quality professional relationships and will be able to work on own initiative without the need for close supervision. Flexibility to travel within own geographical area of responsibility is a must.
