Job Introduction:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a innovative experienced Recruitment Business Partner to join lead and develop the existing G4S Secure Solutions (UK&I) business resourcing team in a remote role that will cover the whole of the UK&I.

This is a new position within the business, where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all resourcing activity across the SSUKI businesses, ensuring that all businesses have adequate resource to meet client demands and requirements.

This role sits on the SSUK HR Senior Leadership team and will report to the Senior HR Business Partner.

The role has a focus on both operational front line roles and also has a focus looking after the management and administration roles within the business.

It will involve designing, developing and implementing cost effective and measurable resource strategies and practices across Secure Solutions UK & Ireland, ensuring the onboarding is completed to meet resourcing demands in full, and on time. The role will have the support of a site based Resourcing team in the HR Shared Service Centre

The successful candidate must be prepared for regular travel as this is a national role that covers the United Kingdom and Ireland. As a result we are flexible in the location for this role and we would consider home based working. This is an exciting opportunity to work and manage a portfolio of contracts for the biggest Security company in the UK working alongside a team of dedicated recruitment professionals.

Role Responsibility:

  • Working with senior operational managers and the HR Business Partner team to understand key resource requirements and ensure the development of resourcing strategies that meet both current and future business needs.
  • Managing and coaching a team of Recruitment Consultants, ensuring effective use of recruitment policies, tools and standards to drive the attraction, assessment and selection of employees and casual workers.
  • Designing, developing and implementing cost effective resourcing solutions, including high volume assessment centres, to create a pipeline of critical talent that enables the recruitment and operational teams to address resourcing challenges thus meeting business objectives and financial targets.
  • Developing and implementing a strong employee value proposition to attract talent across all SSUK&I businesses and help improve retention rates.
  • Overseeing and managing the Events business recruitment function with a focus on high volume resourcing supporting Recruitment Consultants to deliver high volume recruitment results.
  • Working in partnership with both internal and external service providers to ensure a smooth candidate experience from application to deployment, highlighting areas of improvement and ensuring improvements are achieved.
  • Understanding various UK and Ireland employment laws, compliance regulations and resourcing best practices; ensuring these are fully integrated across all businesses.
  • Understanding of various internal policies and standards, ensuring processes and practices, reports and statistics drive compliance with policies and standards.
  • Working closely with the Screening & Vetting team, ensuring screening standards and processes are supported and driven by the Resourcing team.
  • Analysing and reporting key resourcing metrics and trends across all parts of the UK and Ireland businesses to provide insight into the workforce planning process. This could include highlighting the availability of key talent or recommending action to address key issues and minimize resource related risk.
  • Supporting the recruitment of senior positions across the UK and Ireland businesses to ensure key operational posts are resourced effectively.
  • Managing all escalated recruitment related issues to provide a solution which is not only legally compliant but allows business objectives to be met.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the recruitment market environment across the UK and Ireland with a good understanding for both volume and targeted recruitment
  • Previous experience of leading inhouse and agency recruitment teams, a strong people leader who can motivate and encourage a team of resourcing professionals who are field based.
  • CIPD or REC qualification in people resourcing
  • Previous experience of setting recruitment strategies to a national level
  • Experience of managing high and low volume recruitment in a service led multi-site environment
  • Experience of candidate attraction methodologies and online tools on the market specifically in social media and attracting the best people.
  • Previous experience working with agencies and recruitment design agencies
  • Happy to work outside the usual “9-5” and occasionally working weekends and evenings when needed
  • Demonstrable experience of continuous improvement in a recruitment function
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively deploying according to business needs
  • Awareness of a range of resourcing strategies and recruitment best practice
  • Experience of working in a commercially driven environment with an extensive experience at delivering resourcing results ideally in a retail or people services environment (eg cleaning, catering or security)
  • Previous resourcing experience in Ireland and an understanding of ROI resourcing regulations
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English

As this role is working nationally it is a requirement that that the position holder has a full valid driving license
