Job Introduction:

In 2012 G4S and Lincolnshire Police formed a Strategic Partnership and we are now currently looking for individuals who are interested in joining us as a Receptionist (Part Time 26 hours per week).


This is a part time position for 26 hours per week. The post is based at Lincolnshire Police Headquarters, Nettleham. The benefits of working from this location include; free car parking and 24 hours use of a free gym.

The shift pattern for this role will be as follows;
Monday – 1230hours . to 1700hours.
Tuesday – 0800hours to 1230 hours
Wednesday - 1230hours  to 1700 hours
Thursday - 1230hours to 1700 hours.
Friday – 0800 hours to 1630 hours (with a 30 min lunch break).

The successful candidate will provide a high quality professional reception service to all visitors, contractors and Police personnel at Force Headquarters. They will also promote equality of opportunity to the people of Lincolnshire and treat all individuals fairly and with dignity and respect.

Role Responsibility:

  • Receive and assist visitors courteously.  To ensure that they are dealt with by the appropriate department without unnecessary delay.
  • Administer and audit the Force headquarters Access Control and Visitor Entry systems.
  • Open and secure Force Headquarters Main Door.
  • Assist Mail Room; accept out of hours mail; on occasion, accept and sign for parcels (including Data protection Documentation, etc)
  • Receive and action internal telephone enquiries ensuring that all such enquiries are dealt with swiftly and effectively, or are passed on to the intended recipient.  Make tannoy announcements as required.
  • Assist staff with queries on Force Headquarters meeting rooms and Sports facilities.
  • Accept and as appropriate sign for vehicles on hire
  • Give assistance to Force staff on directory enquiries utilizing BT Internet enquiry system.
  • In fire emergency situations, ensure Senior Fire Marshall is given Fire Pack
  • Provide general administrative support as and when required to assist the department in delivering its key objectives
  • The post holder will be required to carry out such duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the post.  Duties and responsibilities outside the general scope of the post will only be required with the further consent of the post holder.
