Job Introduction:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installation Engineer within G4S to look after the installations of high-end integrated security and fire alarm systems in the North West of England. The position holder will be responsible for successfully installing high-end fire alarm and integrated security systems, whilst maintaining cost controls.

Role Responsibility:

  • Undertaking the project management of fire alarm systems and electronic security systems by electrical contractors.
  • Undertaking commissioning of systems when required.
  • Verifying the detailed accuracy of equipment specifications at the “pre-installation” stage.
  • Developing and managing site-specific method statements and risk assessments where necessary and ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are upheld.
  • Responsible for compliance with regard to technical auditing and managing compliance with quality standards & regulations.
  • Liaising with customers and contractors at a local / site level.
  • Supervising sub-contractors effectively.
  • Ensuring that systems are properly tested and commissioned and assist in the production of O&M documentation.
  • Ensuring that customers receive appropriate and adequate training and maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting in maximising profits
  • Highly motivated and work on your own, with an excellent attention to detail.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Requirements

  • Willingness to work varying hours as necessary and travel nationally.
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the following:

Ideal Requirements

  • Experience in the installation of network-based security systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards for Installation and basic’ knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in the installation of network
    based security systems.
