Job Introduction:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Operations Support Manager on our JP Morgan contract, accross the London sites.

We are looking for an Operations Support Manager to be responsible for the workforce management of the G4S security teams employed on the JPMC contract. This includes ownership of Events, Project work, OMS compliance, recruitment, and with the coordination of disciplinary procedures, absence management and training.

Role Responsibility:

  • Supporting the Account Director in leading the Security Teams, ensuring they are suitably developed, trained, rehearsed, briefed, ready and available to carry out their roles and responsibilities at all times
  • Overseeing the Contract scheduling, ESS and holiday planning.
  • Conducting regular site visits/audits to ensure that all contract paperwork (DOB, Keys logs, post instructions, etc.) is in place to confirm audit compliance and welfare of staff
  • Owning the attendance management process, monitoring and instigating further action as trigger points are reached
  • Supporting the Sites by conducting investigations and disciplinary action as and when required
  • Maintaining a 100% OMS record of all security staff, to include staff PPS
  • Supporting the Sites in developing and delivering specialist training and education
  • Leading the recruitment process
  • Supporting the Account Director to ensure that all policies and procedures in place are compliant with legislative and ISO 9002 requirements and that G4S’ own controls (OMS, AIs, and Risk Assessments etc) are in place and up to date
  • Ensuring the security team’s understanding and compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety procedures and PPE
  • Providing operational support to the contract, stepping up to assume the Account Director role in their absence.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to influence at all levels across customer and stakeholders as well as their own team
  • Ability to write effective reports, letters, proposals, emails and maintain written/electronic logs
  • Highly numerate and literate with a solid proficiency of Microsoft Office 2003
  • A supportive character able to assist the Account Director to achieve their goals
  • The inter-personal skills and ability to interact with differing personalities and leadership/management styles in order to build effective customer and team relationships at various levels
  • Practical, robust, ‘hands on’ leadership experience and abilities allied to the energy to overcome difficulties and offer innovative solutions while managing BAU
  • SIA Frontline License holder.
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Experience of managing a complex and time critical contract
  • Ability to work long hours on site
  • Understanding of G4S process and management systems (training will be provided)
