Job Introduction:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a New Workforce Co-Ordinator in our Events team, based in our Glasgow office. The jobholder will bridge the gap between Recruitment and Operations. The Jobholder will ensure a smooth handover period and reduction in non-starters. The job holder will ensure all new starters are aware of training requirements, how to register on G4S Employee Self Service system and are fully prepared for their first shift.

Role Responsibility:

  • Contact all new starters once Pay Roll Numbers have been issued, explaining training requirements and Employment Self Service details
  • Highlight issues with relevant departments such as Training, IT, Operations
  • Liaise with the Operational Management team to find out details of first shifts to be offered.
  • Process ID card information to SSUK Shared Services to ensure all new starters have the correct accreditation for work.
  • Attend Regional Operations meetings to provide statistics and information on the overview of new starters in their area. Also to be involved in planning discussions of upcoming events.
  • Be the liaison with screening to look after the process once files have been submitted by the Resourcing Officers to ensure timelines are being met and there are no issues or delays with the issuing of Payroll Numbers for new recruits, regularly reporting to Recruitment Manager.
  • Highlight to Recruitment Manager any trends or ongoing issues with incorrect files in screening or files which have exceeded the expected timescale.
  • Identifying areas of opportunities and implementing innovative solutions to maximize efficiency.
  • Produce reports for Recruitment Manager and Regional Operations Managers covering New Starters and potential leavers. Analysing this information and escalating any trends that are noticed or need addressing.
  • Manage social media for Events recruitment team i.e. Twitter/Instagram etc.
  • Assist with internal talent management i.e. Trainee Supervisors, Recruitment Assistants.
  • Raise Purchase Orders as required by Recruitment Manager
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager with any others tasks as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
  • Understanding of the Events Industry.
  • IT Proficient
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to be presented
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong team collaborator.
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • ‘Can do’ proactive attitude.
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the following:

Ideal Requirements

  • Understanding the organisational environment
  • Dealing with changing circumstances
  • Previous experience in the Recruitment Industry
  • Previous experience in the Events Security Industry.
  • Knowledge of in-house IT systems
  • Full understanding of Screening Requirements BS7858
  • Driving licence.
