Job Introduction:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Licensing Administrator in our Licensing team, based in our Shared Service Centre in Thornaby on Tees. We are looking for someone who has previous administrative experience as well as experience in dealing with customers over the telephone.

Role Responsibility:

Reporting to the Senior Licensing Administrator, this role will support the routine licensing activity providing an accurate, efficient and consistent administrative function.

The operational licensing department is responsible for the business compliance of security personnel in relation to SIA Licenses. They administer and apply for licenses on behalf of officers, to enable them to work in a security role. 

The position holder must have excellent administration skills combined with an eye for detail and a compliance-focus approach to all activities.

Create and update licence applications directly through the SIA licence management system. Minimising the risk of non-compliance with SIA regulations.

Ensure the appropriate checking and securing of an employee's documents as part of the identification process and working with data protection principles.

This role is very fast paced, working within strict SLA agreed timeframes.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential criteria:

  • Exceptional eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, dealing with employees and managers comfortably
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Previous experience working in a customer service focused environment
  • Calm and approachable
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the following ideal criteria:

  • Compliance-focused background, in a regulated environment
  • Excellent time/priority management skills
  • Previous experience working with Google systems.
