Job Introduction:

We are currently recruiting a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager. The role will be based in Worksop and travel will be required 50-80% of the time. Home working will be considered.

Role Responsibility:

The Health, Safety and Compliance Manager will provide professional support including advice and training to a diverse business on all aspects of Compliance and H&S. Collaborating with the wider compliance and H&S community the successful candidate will contribute to achieving broad alignment across all functions/specialities within G4S.

Reporting to the FM Director the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identifying and documenting relevant Compliance, H&S and CDM requirements
  • Maintaining, developing, revising and implementing the company H&S policy
  • Supporting the senior management team in meeting the relevant requirements, through advice, training and the development of clearly understood policies, processes and procedures
  • Supporting the relevant Compliance / H&S assessments
  • Undertaking 12 audits annually and providing reports highlighting opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting the operational teams, project managers and procurement from a Compliance / H&S perspective when working with clients, suppliers and sub contractors
  • Developing and managing all relevant system tools including Info Exchange, Crimson, Simple Compliance and Chemical Management System
  • Liaising with relevant enforcing authorities
  • Managing all employers liability and public liability claims in conjunction with the Regional Legal team.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have IOSH/NEBOSH and extensive Compliance/H&S experience in a facilities management/construction environment. They will have experience in designing and running training programs, demonstrable audit skills and experience in report writing. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be commercially aware and possess the ability to work collaboratively.
