Job Introduction:

We are looking to recruit a Head of Soft Services based in Bridgwater Somerset to manage and supervise the Housekeeping and General Duties Teams team to ensure completion and compliance of all soft services tasks and provide support to the HPC Contract Manager.

Role Responsibility:

Reporting to the Contract Operations Manager the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Monitoring soft services information to allow the system to run effectively
  • Producing reports from the concept system as required to provide information for the FM team, auditors, and the client as and when required
  • Ensuring that near misses and hazards are reported by all team members via concept
  • Working with procurement to produce local agreement contracts for subcontractors used on site in line with G4S policies
  • Arranging customer feedback on all work tasks as and when necessary
  • Providing line management support to supervisors
  • Attending any training courses required
  • Managing own workload as well as the Soft Services Team effectively to ensure that the managers requirements are met
  • Understanding contractual requirements and operational needs of the site
  • Preparing written quotations for customers and recording using the relevant documents
  • Reviewing COSHH assessments on an annual basis
  • Undertaking annual Employee Development Reviews for the Soft Services Team and identifying any development needs
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring a good working relationship is maintained.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an FM role, including line management as well as excellent verbal and written skills, good organisational skills and a professional manner in all areas.  They will have an ability to work to changing deadlines and be proactive and resourceful. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible in their approach to work and be highly motivated as well as having a good knowledge of finance and accounting systems.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills including a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. They will be qualified in IOSHH Managing Safely and possess knowledge and understanding of ISO14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001.

Knowledge of concept evolution, SAP and ARIBA is desirable but not essential.
