Job Introduction:

We are currently recruiting an Engineering Team Leader. This role will be based in East London however there may be travel between 20-50% of the time.

Role Responsibility:

The Engineering Team Leader will be working within the Hard FM delivery of the contract to coordinate the G4S Engineers and sub-contractors and to ensure effective and compliant delivery of hard FM maintenance services. The Engineering Team Leader is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary competence, training, back-up and support to deliver high levels of customer service.

The main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Dealing effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets
  • Ensuring that all reactive and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard within the contracted SLA’s
  • Diagnosing faults on all Mechanical and Electrical support systems and rectifying where necessary
  • Providing a client-facing interface to ensure a high level of communication is delivered to the client
  • Providing suitable repair and minor work quotations for all works that do not form part of the contract
  • Managing subcontractor work performance as and when required for site attendance
  • Producing clear and concise written reports in a timely manner
  • Maintaining the professional image of G4S and the client at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will hold a HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering and recognised training in electrical, mechanical and/or air conditioning engineering along with experience working in a similar role or environment.  Asbestos Training (UKATA or equal) is essential.  Good working knowledge of Concept Evolution CAFM system and SLA Management is advantageous, as well as an excellent understanding of Statutory Compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in effectively coordinating M&E teams along with the ability to work carefully, methodically and safely.
