We are actively seeking to recruit an Area Cleaning Supervisor to help support and deliver a soft facilities management contract we have with two NHS Trusts. The position will work 15 hours per week, 5pm to 8pm 5 days a week covering sites in Huntingdon and the surrounding area.

This is primarily a first line management role – ensuring that sites are adequately staffed with a competent and trained workforce, as well as being provided with the correct consumables and equipment in order to deliver the required service. The role has daily interaction with the client, so the Area Supervisor needs to portray a professional representation of G4S at all times, seeing to the clients needs when required.

As the site locations are spread across Huntingdon, the Area Supervisor needs to hold a valid UK driving licence.

Role Responsibility:

Main responsibilities

  • To ensure a high level of cleanliness throughout the facilities which meet the National Standards of Cleanliness for the NHS
  • To ensure the quality of the service is maintained as per the contract, and to record relevant service quality statistics in line with the performance monitoring system
  • To actively promote and ensure adherence to health and safety requirements
  • To manage staff and rotas, ensuring adequate cover for day to day and ad-hoc requests
  • Managing stock levels within budget

The Ideal Candidate:

It is essential that candidates have;

  • Experience of managing a team across multiple locations
  • Experience of soft facilities management, ideally within an NHS environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A high level of personal motivation and a commitment to achieve results
  • A full UK driving licence
