This is a new position at the UK head office of a global travel company. As such not all possible aspects of the job can be outlined as this will take place once the position has been filled.

The job will involve the allocation through a random ballot of car park passes to the company’s employees who have applied for a pass. The reason for the ballot is that there are much more employees wanting a car park pass than there are car park spaces. This ballot will occur every three months.

Role Responsibility:

  • The job will involve working with a computer program which will allocate the passes and then to issue them to the requisite employees;
  • To collate all information on relevant Excel Spreadsheets, so a good understanding of such software is essential;
  • The job will be situated in the security control room and as such you will be working with a small team of colleagues. You will therefore need to be able to work closely with a small team fellow colleagues;
  • The job is very much computer driven but you must be able to keep clear up to date records of all work done as these will be audited on a regular basis by the client;
  • To be able to work under pressure and keep a level head when dealing with any such pressure;
  • A high level of literacy is required as there will be reports and emails to be compiled and sent to the company’s staff and client;
  • Full training on the computer operating system will be given;
  • Other relevant tasks pertaining to this new job will obviously be highlighted and implemented as the position takes shape;
  • Since this is a new position you will be able to bring your own experience and ideas to the job to make it more efficient.
