Part-time (10 hours per week)

At HMP Birmingham we are extremely proud of our long history, heritage and the wealth of experience that comes with a prison that has been open since 1849. HMP Birmingham was also the first ever public sector prison to be transferred into the private sector estate in 2011.
We are looking to recruit an Administrator who will have excellent organisational skills, be able to work to set deadlines by prioritising and managing their own workload. 
Key Responsibilities
  • To schedule / maintain prisoner information on the CMS and NOMIS systems and Z and P drives.
  •  Data collation of prisoner’s activities information and supply figures to the senior management.
  •  To create security risk assessments and maintain a log on the computer systems.
  •  To deal with service providers and all people at HMP Birmingham in a professional manner at all times.
  •  To comply with Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, Sick and Flexible working agreements.
  •  To deal with enquires via telephones and email systems.
  •  To maintain filing systems.
  •  To sift through and complete wing trawls to create course lists.
  •  Submit and manage Insiders and training wing barbers manual payments to Finance.
  • To attend meeting and produce minutes.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and must have been resident in the UK for a minimum period of 5 years. You will also need to provide full details of your employment and education history for the last 10 years as part of the security screening process for this role.
